College is about so much more than just listening to lectures.

It's about experiences. 

Azucena Rodriguez-Becerra makes sure students in her social work courses definitely get an experience. 

The lesson: Latino culture. 

The curriculum: Zumba. 

Rodriguez-Becerra invited Zumba instructors to her class to teach Latino music and dance. 

In social work, it's important to understand different cultures. 

Understanding different cultures helps you better assist others and helps you be more empathetic when they need that assistance. 

The lesson was well-received. 

And it was definitely enjoyed by these students.
